Be Prepared to Save the Day with Must Have First Aid Kit Items

Be Prepared to Save the Day with Band-Aid and Neosporin

It is soccer season again. That means I am on the go. I have three kids and they all play soccer. That means I need to be prepared. I pack my van with my essentials and my purse. You just never know what you will need. This is what I pack in my purse besides my wallet.

My must have first aid kit items are my essential products such as NEOSPORIN® + Pain Relief Ointment to help prevent infection and BAND-AID® Brand Adhesive because my kids always need a band aid. I have BENADRYL® Anti-Itch topical products because you just never know what could bite while playing soccer. I always have sunscreen on hand. I also have children with food allergies and who knows what people will bring for snack. Then I have wipes because my kids never fail to make a mess. I have a pile of hair ties, a comb, and a mini deodorant. Then I have a bottle of water and an assorted selection of snacks.

Stay prepared with Band-Aid

It is a good thing I am prepared because my children are rough on the field. They play with all they have which normally results in a big boo boo. The only thing that can quell the crying is a BAND-AID® Brand Adhesive. It is like a magical fairy when they see me pulling that out of my bag, they immediately feel better. I feel better knowing that Neosporin and BAND-AID® Brand Adhesives help my kids heal. I never realized how many BAND-AIDs children could use in one day. I had to explain to my children that they had a purpose and were not to be used as stickers. They like to take them out of my purse and place them on one another and on their foreheads. I have taken to hiding them in my wallet so when we really need one or several I have them. I have asked my children to stop wearing BAND-AIDs unless they are injured but my kids just like them. I am not sure what it is but they just make them happy as soon as they see them coming up of the bag, which makes me happy too. The last thing you want is an unhappy child.

First aid kit must haves

BAND-AID® Brand and NEOSPORIN® Brand provide the tools to get out there and tackle new adventures — and to treat the inevitable mishaps that happen along the way.

Being prepared with First Aid Kit Items is a must!

Here are some important facts that you should know:

A majority of parents (53%) have been unable to care for an injury because they didn’t have the necessary first aid supplies on hand.

43% of accidents happen when you’re away from home, so it’s important to always be prepared for moments of care.

You’re 3x times more likely to have an accident in your home than outdoors. Make sure you’re prepared with first aid products.

BAND-AID® Brand and NEOSPORIN® Brand are working with KaBOOM! to not only encourage active play, but ensure that families nationwide have the tools to get out there and tackle new adventures through the following commitment:

  • Donate first aid products to play spaces that need them across the country.
  • Contribute to new creative play spaces in 2015 by providing Rigamajig grants to KaBOOM! Playspaces.
  • Provide safety and preparedness tips for the inevitable bumps, bruises, cuts & scrapes that might occur during play.
  • Actress, talk show host and campaign spokesmom Tamera Mowry-Housley has joined this effort to help remind parents about the benefits of play.

KaBOOM! is an organization that works to bring balanced and active play into the daily lives of all children, particularly those growing up in poverty in America. They do this by creating great places to play, inspiring communities to promote and support play, and driving the national discussion about the importance of play in fostering healthy and productive lives.

Some times bring a mom is tough work. I wasn’t saving the world today. I was just signing the numerous papers our kids brought home and low and behold I got a paper cut. I decided to just run to the gym, by the time I got there it was throbbing and ugly. Thank goodness I have my kit in my purse. I was able to take care of my small injury before it became a larger one. They say being prepared is half the battle making sure you have the right tools is the first step.

The secret to my dress success is the band aid blister product. I actually wear them to prevent blisters. I have certain shoes that no matter what I do cause blisters. I know I should get rid of them but when you find a solution that works I see no reason to sacrifice a great pair of shoes. They are easy to put on and they stay on. I put them in the bill fold of my wallet. I mean you never know when you need to wear a great pair of heels. I can’t tell you how worth it they are. So thank you BAND-AID for making all my shoe dreams not only possible but comfortable.
