Fashion Friday: Winter Coats

I love Fashion but I hate paying tons of money to look great. I believe you need two things the knowledge of what looks good on you and the skill to find it for less. I encourage you to get rid of all the items in your closet that you do not wear. They cloud up your options to make really great outfits because you can’t see your clothes! If they are in good condition sell the at a consignment store or a place like Plato’s closet, or host a clothing swap. Clothing swaps are a blast!

The time is now to find your winter coats. That is if you shop second hand. I always start looking in the summer for our winter coats. I love coats but they are so expensive and spending $100 and up for everyone in our family is not in the budget. I gave myself a budget of $10 per person for our coats. I did it and you can too. In our neighborhood this Sunday the Goodie Bag is having a winter sale 50% off their already low prices.

Another great way to score cheap coats is to find friends who have kids that are older and buy their coats when they are done. I also buy a size ahead when I see them on sale for the next year. If you plan ahead you will always spend less. It is not what you save it is what you spend and I spent $25 total on 4 coats. They are also name brands 3 are gap and 1 was jcrew.
