Fashion Friday: What to buy right now

Photobucket

I love Fashion but I hate paying tons of money to look great. I believe you need two things the knowledge of what looks good on you and the skill to find it for less. I encourage you to get rid of all the items in your closet that you do not wear. They cloud up your options to make really great outfits because you can’t see your clothes! If they are in good condition sell the at a consignment store or a place like Plato’s closet, or host a clothing swap. Clothing swaps are a blast!

The key to saving money and looking great is buying things when they are on sale. This is a great time to buy sweaters and coats for next year. It is also an amazing time to buy boots. You can pick up boots for under $40.I would pick a pair of boots that are classic in nature. I picked up these great boots for a super price! $39.99… The best part is these are for date night and not the grocery store!

Nice idea on what to buy now. I just shop the thrift stores. Trends are always recycled so why not find the recycled clothes from that trend. Get your staples–a good pair of boots, a winter coat, summer shoes…but the rest can be found for a bargain at a thrift store.

This is so true… I get GREAT deals every year about this time when Dillard’s does their final clearance. Boots last year… two coats this year. It’s a great saver.

I dont know alot of people so swaps arent too feasible- but I sure agree about clearing out closets. I donate.

I always utilize my Plato’s closet if possible. I got an aeropostle shirt (with tages attached saying $29.50) for $7! And their clearance stuff, got 4 hoodies for $2 a piece (all name brand, hollister, aeropostle, and abercrombie & fitch even!) We also have a Once Upon A Child which I LOVE. Same concept as Plato’s but kids stuff! ALL of my daughters stuff comes from there and I never pay more than $10 for an outfit. Depending on what people bring in, it can be name brand too (some with tags attached still!) LOVE my consignment shops! Can you tell? ;)
