Fashion Friday: The swimsuit battle

I love Fashion but I hate paying tons of money to look great. I believe you need two things the knowledge of what looks good on you and the skill to find it for less. I encourage you to get rid of all the items in your closet that you do not wear. They cloud up your options to make really great outfits because you can’t see your clothes! If they are in good condition sell the at a consignment store or a place like Plato’s closet, or host a clothing swap. Clothing swaps are a blast!

The battle has begun the swimsuit in one corner myself hiding in the other. I am at a place of self discovery and I have a lot more self to discover after having A baby. It appears that they do not make swimsuits for the after you have just had a baby. I tried on my maternity suit and it looked like I was hiding another off spring. Yikes! I went to the department store and searched through the racks and I found the perfect suit. That is until I tried it on. It looked okay until I glanced down at the $158 price tag. I wondered does the pool come with the suit? I did one more turn around and placed the swimsuit on the hanger for someone else. I can’t pay more than $40 for a swimsuit. It is based on principle there is less fabric so why does it cost so much? I mean unless the suits gets rid of my disorganized dimples, pertruding belly, flabby arms, and wayward boobs I will be rocking my old swimsuits.

I was however saved with the announcement of the Victoria Secret sale. I ordered tons of suits so I could try/ cry at home. I found one. I have to admit I was so excited to see the big sale I forgot to find a coupon. It may have been lack of sleep or being over worked. Have no fear Victoria Secret refunded the difference in purchase price sans the coupon. I am happy to say the buying two seperates was the answer to my prayers. The only problem is Renae has the exact same suit. How funny is that? I guess that will not help people who already identify me as Renae. We have decided to implement the call ahead rule so we do not look like twins. I know I should return the suit but I can’t go through that battle again. Round one goes to me!
