Fashion Friday: Plaid is not BAD

I love Fashion but I hate paying tons of money to look great. I believe you need two things the knowledge of what looks good on you and the skill to find it for less. I encourage you to get rid of all the items in your closet that you do not wear. They cloud up your options to make really great outfits because you can’t see your clothes! If they are in good condition sell the at a consignment store or a place like Plato’s closet, or host a clothing swap. Clothing swaps are a blast!

How to wear plaid so it doesn’t wear you

I love plaid but I hate the farmer’s daughter look. I think it is fun to jump on the trend wagon. I do so without spending more than $20.00. I feel if you have the basics in your closet you can add on items to make an outfit. I suggest you have these items at a minimum: one pair of dark jeans, one pair of black pants, one black sweater and one colored sweater, 4 long sleeve T shirts a black one, a white one, a bright color like pink, purple, blue, green, and your favorite color. You can make tons of outfits with these basic by adding a trend item.

I selected a coat to incorporate my trend. The coat was $12.00 at Plato’s closet. It has classic lines and that to me makes it look more expensive than the $12.00 I paid.
