Fashion Friday: Flower power

I love Fashion but I hate paying tons of money to look great. I believe you need two things the knowledge of what looks good on you and the skill to find it for less.

Amee

I am hitting the internet to find the best deals. I am currently in the hospital under observation so hitting the stores is not happening this week. I will hopefully be out soon. I am crossing my fingers and everything else I can find.

How am I able to buy things off the internet and know they will fit?  Well, I don’t always. I do however get lucky 95% of the time. I find that I generally can wear certain brands and they almost always fit. If they don’t, I get them at such a good deal that I consign them or if they are something my mom or sister will like I give them away.  I suggest you hit the mall and go into every store and try on bottoms. Then record the store, size, and style number of the items you like. They usually have names for the pant styles so it will make it easier to find them on the internet. I think if you put in a day you can be very successful on building your wardrobe for less in the long run. I figure it this way, in most stores a nice pair of pants is $50 and up and I never spend over $20.00. So if I spend the time searching, then I have made up the difference since I can do so when I have the time.

The secret to harnessing the power of the flower without looking like a garden is picking a pattern that you can wear and it doesn’t wear you.

I picked out a flower power items from Target:

Search by floral print and see what comes up. This dress is a little expensive at $29.99 but I think it will make a super dress for work or play. I also think it is probably less in the store or will go on sale in the next two weeks. It is a Liberty of London dress made for Target. Liberty of London designer line is very expensive. This allows you to own a piece of their designs for an affordable amount.

Here is something flowery from Old Navy since there is a nice coupon out there:

$24.99 this is linen blend. But Old Navy has tons of cheaper skirt options. This one would looks super with a fitted white button down or a T-shirt and jacket.

Here is a nice skirt from the Jacklyn smith Collection from Kmart since they also have a nice coupon:

Just $13.99

Here are some fun things I found on ebay:

I love  Lilly Pulitizer.

I guess it is because I am from Palm Beach but she is a great spring designer. I would say her clothes generally run smaller so I would figure out your size before you order.

 $9.99 on Ebay

I also found some great prints from Talbots,  JCrew, and Ann Taylor.

Talbots $6.99 on Ebay

Jcrew $6.99 on Ebay

Ann Taylor on $.99 on Ebay
