Making simple, effective homemade body scrub can be as easy as opening your cupboard doors. Scrubs utilize basic ingredients and as soon as you find a recipe that you like the ways you can change it up to make if fresh and new are endless! Homemade body scrubs are so good for your skin- think of all of the ingredients on a bottle of body scrub from the store. How many of those can you pronounce, or even know what they are? If you’re like me, not many. When you make your own body scrubs at home you get the benefit of know what you are putting on your skin and have complete control over the quality of ingredients. Plus, these scrubs take only a few simple ingredients and I promise you know what each and every one of them are!

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons coffee grounds
  • 3 Tablespoons oil (olive or vegetable)

Add all of the ingredients to a measuring cup and stir. Place into a container or jar for storage. To use, scoop some out with your fingers and rub on desired part of the body. The coffee on the skin is energizing, making this a perfect morning show body scrub!

    I make one that’s similar using hazelnut coffee and coconut oil (instead of the olive oil) and throw in a drizzle of honey. I love DIY scrubs
