A couple of items are missing from my picture; an outdoor arm chair (still in the back of Amee’s car!) and a newspaper. I ended up buying some unanticipated items today since the summer items are 40% off. The sippy cups were $1.79 each, the arm chair $8.99 and the ice packs .59¢. These are all items I needed. I figured I might as well buy them at CVS with my ECB’s rather than pay with money at another store. That is what we try to teach you to do; make money by rolling your ECB’s and then buy items your family needs.
Spent: $2.14 Out of Pocket
Used: $39.12 in ECB’s
Got Back: $20.99 in ECB’s (So, I basically “lost” $18.13 in ECB’s on items my family needed. It is better than losing money out of my pocket though!)
Saved: $156.48 today, year to date CVS savings $2,729.95!
If you are buying the Neutrogena makeup, look for the bonus pack on the eyeshadow. It was on sale for $6.99 and came with a free eyeliner. I used a $3.00 coupon from All You and got $2 in ECB’s. That makes it $1.99 for eyeshadow and eyeliner!
Amee and I also hit Food Lion this morning. While it was not my best shopping trip, I did save $40.73 and I spent $45.47. I will also have a $2 mail in rebate for Beef from the Sutter Home wine tag.
One great deal at Food Lion is the Deli Turkey is BOGO this week, making it $2.75 lb. The deal gets better though! Buy around 4lbs and them use this $3/$10 Deli coupon (when you go to the website it will say something about On the Go Bistro. The coupon that prints is a $3/$10 Bakery or deli purchase). Now that is a lot of Deli meat, but Amee and I split it. So we each ended up with just over 2lbs and I will end up freezing half of mine.
