Making Memories Last

I am sitting by a pile of papers. These papers are filled with hours of effort and love from my children. I decided it would be a nice idea to make a college of my favorites for each child. Then I hope to preserve them in custom picture frames. I thought this would be a wonderful gift for Mother’s day. I have everything I need and these pictures that were made with such love and consideration exemplify what Mother’s day is all about. When I reflect on my life I know that the images  created this year by my children will remind me about how they were back then.

I can look back and see that my son writes d instead of b and my daughter make large heads on small bodies. Then I can look at the colorful circles and puppets with mismatched eyes and  green yarn hair and be remind of the puppet shows that gave them life. I will look at the framed images and be reminded of the changes our life brings us. I will place my collage frames over my desk while I work. It will remind me of why I work and also remind me that with each day that passes their art will become more refined and their ideas more concrete. It in fact the way life goes but it is imperative to capture your memories and preserve them for a lifetime. I hope one day these picture frames find a home in their kids room.
