Crafting with Kids: Dead End

Meet Stephanie! She’s a 24 year old stay at home Mom, who couldn’t ask for a better blessing than to be home with her daughter!! Their favorite things to do together is working on art projects and they enjoy sharing them with people at Crafting with Bug!! In her free time she enjoys reading and scrapbooking!!

There comes a time when I feel like I am totally and completely out of crafting ideas. I want to do something with my daughter but cannot figure out what. (This has been happening a lot lately…)

There are a few options when this happens. I usually find myself searching Google. I type in ‘Children’s Crafts’ [or if we are near a holiday I type that holiday in] and then click the images tab and look around there. Those pictures are enough to give me some ideas to base a project off of. If that isn’t something you are interested in you can always search the internet for blogs or other websites that post easy crafts to do with your little one (there are many to be found!).

Another option I have used when those last two just weren’t cutting it was borrowing crafting books from my local library. At my local library they are blended in with the regular books so you may have to search for them or ask for help. This has been very helpful too! I have been able to get many cute ideas this way! I typically end up just getting ideas and then change the craft up a little bit to make it more conducive to what I was looking to make based on my daughters abilities.
