CoverMate Review & Giveaway

CoverMate Food Covers

Do you have plastic containers with missing lids? How about large platters that don’t have covers? CoverMate Food Coversare meant to solve those issues. I recently received a sample pack of CoverMate Food Covers to review. I received the Variety pack of 10 covers with 4 medium, 4 large and 2 extra large covers.

CoverMate Food Covers

CoverMate Covers are BPA, PVC and Latex Free. That means that they are safe for food storage and for heating in the microwave. The CoverMate covers kind of look like shower caps! The plastic is strong and it is built with a FlexBandto fit any shape container. There are vents to allow for use in the microwave- no more splatters! I also like the fact that the CoverMates are easy to store and do not take up much room.

CoverMate Coversare reusable and can be placed in the top rack of the dishwasher. This is were I had a slight problem. The plastic did not melt, as I was afraid that would happen! However, the CoverMate was filled with water when I opened the dishwasher. It kind of felt like I was washing a baggie! I have since read that the best method for washing the CoverMates is to turn them inside out and place around a clean plate in the dishwasher. It keeps the water from accumulating and it allows them to dry with the drying cycle!

CoverMate Food Covers can be bought at many retailers such as Target. They can also be purchased online at Amazon.

For some reason I have 100 containers and about 70 lids, but NONE of them are sets! I don’t understand how that happened. With a set of Covermate’s Food Covers, I can finally recycle all of my random lids and I’ll always have something to cover my containers.

What a great idea! Somehow I always loose lids! I would use them to cover plates so I don’t have to dirty (or find) tupperware to put things in!

I like the idea that I can cover a plate of food in the fridge and then move it straight to the microwave. Saves on plastic wrap and/or waxed paper.

  4. Caroline says

Wow, that would save me so much time instead of digging around in the “container cabinet” for a lid that matches!

I am really fortunate that a friend of mine always makes too many curries and pakoras and shares with our family. I would use these to bring things like pastys over to her and she could set us up with the good stuff!

I’d use CoverMates to cover dishes in the microwave instead of wasting paper towels that end up sticking to the food.

I would use them to store left overs in the fridge, so handy for use in the microwave

  9. Stephanie says

I would use these for storing plates/bowls with leftovers in the fridge instead of dirtying another container

  10. Kimberly says

I would use these to replace someof my missng lids and also to cover up food when I go to picnics and potlucks.

  11. Susan says

I would use them to replace all those lids or foil on containers and bowls that we use now. I get really peeved having to open every container or bowl until I find what I am looking for!!

Good review on these food covers. The ability to reuse these covers makes it more affordable than covers that aren’t as durable and need to be replaced periodically.
