Couponing for the Extremely Normal: Tip #3

Welcome to Couponing for the Extremely Normal! Have you watched the new TLC series “Extreme Couponing“? If so, you must realize how extreme these couponers can be.

Here at Madame Deals, we believe in saving by using coupons but not to the extreme extent which the TLC series portrays.  We prefer to take a realistic approach to saving and stockpiling.

In order help you extreme coupon in a realistic way, we will be bringing you several tips each week.  Here’s tip #3:

#3 – Which coupons do I clip? Each week, take a few minutes to go through the Sunday coupon inserts and clip coupons.  However, only clip the coupons for those products you use and know you will buy.

It doesn’t make sense to clip every coupon you find.  You will never use all of them.  Clip only the coupons for products you use and know you will buy.  Once you have clipped them, file them in your organizer (see tip #1).  Next, write the date of the insert on the covers of the remaining inserts and set them aside.  Trust me, there’s a reason for saving those additional coupons.  We’ll tell you about it in our next tip!

I love the TLC Extreme couponing but there is no way they use everything they get before it goes bad… I only get as much of something that I will use before it spoils.
