Coming Home For Christmas DVD Review

Coming Home For Christmas DVD

I am a sucker for a good Christmas movie and you can be assured that my DVR is filling up with Christmas movies new and old.  I was excited when I was given a chance to see the new Christmas movie, Coming Home for Christmas.

Although this movie is marketed towards families. I believe that anyone who loves a great Christmas story will find this movie heartfelt and perfect for the holiday season.

Coming Home for Christmas is a Norman Rockwell movie that shows the holiday journey of two estranged sisters who must join together in hopes of reuniting their recently separated parents. It explores the deeper meaning of the saying, “Home is Where the Heart Is.” The girls want to have Christmas in their old family home but it is being lived in by another family. Watch the Christmas magic unfold as these sisters struggle to come to grips with their estrangement. Will they be ableto bring the pieces of their broken family together again.

My favorite memory is when I was pregnant with my oldest daughter. It was a high risk pregnancy so my traveling was very limited. My family lives on the other side of the state and we couldn’t travel that far in my condition. My family always gets together on Christmas Eve and we have finger foods, read the Christmas story from the Bible, and exchange gifts. Since we couldn’t be there, my mom sent us our gifts early and they called us when they were all together and they passed the phone around all evening and it was almost like we were there!
