Cleaning Up Messy Kids is Easy with Wet Ones® Hand Wipes

It is two days into summer y’all… Two days! As much is I have been counting down the days until I get to spend all day with my kids (I swear I do really like them), I must now admit that Stockholm Syndrome has worn off, and I have restarted the countdown clock. This time, it is until they go back to school!

This is the first summer that I have three children. In the past, summers have been full of fun. On the go nonstop and cleaning up messes on the fly. Although challenging with two kids, I didn’t need to plan every moment and we could just make it up as we go. Three kids is almost impossible to do with one Mom and three little ones unless serious strategy is involved. There are a lot of accidents and messes. Thank goodness I picked up a new container of Wet Ones® Hand Wipes at Walmart this week! It seems like in two days there has been someone crying at every moment of the day. It is only two days in, but I’m sure I will get the hang of it soon. Every time I turn around someone has knocked something over, broken somebody’s toy, or for some inexplicable reason created a huge mess with absolutely no purpose. I have been making it rain Wet Ones® Hand Wipes like no tomorrow around here. And that leads me to this morning.

My husband had left for work all of 30 minutes earlier, and I was only on my 1st cup of coffee. The baby was fussy and ready to take a morning nap. My family is full of early risers (and by “my family” I mean the kids). So I sat down on the couch (mistake #1) to nurse the baby and get him settled into a nap. I picked up my cell phone to check my emails (mistake #2). There was a cacophony of noise coming from my older two in their bedroom. I heard the words “now we can be artists” but because they were in their bedroom and all of the art supplies were not in there I didn’t think much of it (mistake #3). It took a while for the baby to settle down because of all the noise, but I became so focused on getting him settled and multitasking through my email that I didn’t notice the noise had shifted right next-door to their bedroom and into the bathroom. My older kids are 4 and 6 1/2, so I don’t worry much about them going into the bathroom when they need to. As the door was open, I didn’t think they could be up too much. I was so wrong.

By the time I realized they were entirely too quiet, it was too late. I put the baby down and walked into the bathroom to this:

As I tried to calm down and not start crying, I simply left the container of Wet Ones® Hand Wipes with them and walked away to get my camera for evidence and posterity. Because they were in the bathroom playing for who knows how long and with what, it was reassuring to know that the Wet Ones® Hand Wipes are hypoallergenic and would not only clean up the paint mess, but any potential germs and bacteria they may have gotten into. Let’s be honest, I am almost positive they were gross at some point.

But there is a silver lining! They gave me an amazing idea for something fun to do inside on hot or rainy days. I think will be going through a lot of paint over the summer! I also will need to head back to Walmart to load up on Wet Ones® Hand Wipes, because without them cleanup would not nearly have been as easy or thorough. Seriously, antibacterial wipes are a must have for moms, it kills 99.99% of germs and these are tough on dirt and germs, but gentle on skin. Maybe I will be able to make it through this summer with three kids. After all, there are only 65 more days left until school starts!
