Chutzpah:the 4:30 Got to Meeting Makers

Chutzpah. This is a word that is used often by myself because sometimes I just can’t believe what people do. I mean really! I thought it would be fun to share our Chutzpah moments. The only rules are no names of stores, people, or events. You may also not use inappropriate language. Leave a comment listing your favorite Chutzpah moment! I mean laughter is the best medicine.

chutzpah Or khutspe. Nerve, extreme arrogance, brazen presumption. In English, chutzpah often connotes courage or confidence, but among Yiddish speakers, it is not a compliment.

Dear Mr or Mrs 4:30 meeting maker,

I regret to inform you that I am not able to attend. I am watching paint dry. I am imagining a dream vacation. I am trying not to drool on my desk. I have placed all items in my purse in alphabetical order and I am holding my keys. I have turned off my blackberry moved my chair closer to the exit of  my cubicle so that I will not see the meeting email demanding that I respond with yes, I will be there. I think if I came to your meeting I would be a distraction because I am drawing a portrait of my neighbor on my post it note pad. I do not have any inclination to work on anything except for my emergency kit kat in my purse. I applaud your dedication to use every minute of your work day but we all know a meeting never last 30 minutes no matter what the go to meeting invitation say.

I stop “really” working at 4:30 because it is 5:00 o’clock somewhere???
