Chutzpah: The bill splitter

Chutzpah. This is a word that is used often by myself because sometimes I just can’t believe what people do. I mean really! I thought it would be fun to share our Chutzpah moments. The only rules are no names of stores, people, or events. You may also not use inappropriate language. Leave a comment listing your favorite Chutzpah moment! I mean laughter is the best medicine.

Or khutspe. Nerve, extreme arrogance, brazen presumption. In English, chutzpah often connotes courage or confidence, but among Yiddish speakers, it is not a compliment.

I enjoy going out. I think I enjoy going out more than most people. We have three small people so I look forward to meals without crayons and crying. I enjoy the company, food, and the atmosphere. I do however hate when the bill comes and you are out with a large group of people some that you do not know that well and the restaurant combines the bill. It always seems that the person who ate the most exclaims “lets just split the bill”. I mean what do you do? I just laugh because it happens every time. Then I think gosh if I knew we were going to split the bill I should have ordered the dessert at the end.

What is favorite bill splitter story?
