Chicken Salad with Dill & Craisins


It sounds strange, but honestly it is so good! I don’t care for the usual version of chicken salad- the onions and celery are not my favorite. But dill…that is another story! I love adding dill and I so miss my garden full of fresh dill.

Sunday I made a whole chicken that I made two meals from. There was just enough diced chicken leftover to make chicken salad for lunch. I don’t have an exact recipe, and really you don’t need one! Just add the ingredients to taste.


Diced Chicken
Pecans or Walnuts- chopped (optional)

If you do enjoy the onion and celery, throw those in too! Chicken salad is so versatile. Serve it on a bed of lettuce or as a sandwich.

    Oh my goodness – I LOVE dill. I grew a small pot of dill on a patio one summer – and ate it in my tuna salad. I couldn’t get enough of it. What a LOVELY idea this is. Not so much on the celery or onions myself – but THIS is a great idea!

    I love chicken salad, but totally agree. I hate celery in mine. I think this one sounds awesome. I love dill too!!
