Baked Apple Turnovers



1 (15 ounce) package GREAT VALUE refrigerated pie crusts
1 can apple pie filling
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1 cup sifted powdered sugar
4 teaspoons milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  1. Preheat oven to 425*
  2. Chop pie filling into smaller pieces. Stir in cinnamon and nutmeg. Set aside.
  3. Unfold GREAT VALUE pie crust, smoothing lightly to remove creases, on flat surface. Cut out 8 -4 1/2″ circles.
  4. Spoon 2 Tbsp of pie filling onto 1/2 of each circle.
  5. Moisten edges of circle with water. Fold empty 1/2 circle over the filling part of the circle and press edges to seal.
  6. Crimp edges with a fork. Place turnovers on ungreased baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 13-15 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven.
  8. While turnovers are baking combine milk, powdered sugar and vanilla extract in small bowl.
  9. Drizzle over warm turnovers.
