As I surf the internet, I tend to bookmark anything and everything which interests me. After years of doing this, I have over 1,000 bookmarks, all in a jumbled list which I have never found the time to organize. This week I am going to organize my bookmarks. This is possible because I discovered clipix.
Clipix.com is a new and useful tool which will help me organize my life online. We all see so many things online each day but who has the time to really check these things out. With clipix, you can “clip” an item to a clipboard and save it to view later.
It’s easy to open a clipix account, simply sign up using your Facebook or Twitter account. If you don’t have a Facebook or Twitter account, you can sign up using your email address. Once you’ve signed up, you simply drag a bookmark called the “Clip” button to your bookmarks toolbar. This is when the fun starts, or in my case, the organization of my bookmarks.
I named a few clipboards to correspond with the types of bookmarks I have and started adding those sites to the appropriate clipboard. The most important clipboards I have are “Madame Deals” and “Title Company.” On these boards, I placed the links for the sites I frequently go to.
No more sifting through a mile long list of bookmarks to find the site I need. I simply open clipix and all the sites I need are organized and at my fingertips.
The best part is I can share these clipboards of useful information with my co-workers. They can also add additional sites to the clipboards. This is just one example of how clipix can be used. The possiblities are endless. How many items are on your “to do” list on a daily, weekly, monthly or annual basis? If your “to do” list looks like mine, you are most likely a bit overwhelmed. I can think of so many different clipboards which will help me to organize things such as:
- Planning a family reunion
- Gathering ideas for blog posts
- Weekly meal plans
- Summer camp options
- Keeping track of online bill payment sites
- Christmas gifts
- A book and movie wish list
- Cheap date nights
I encourage you to check out clipix and start organizing your life … online and off. Leave a comment below and tell us what clipboards you will create.
