Amee is teaching me how to shop for designer and quality clothes on a budget. I have always been cautious of spending money on clothes. I never thought I would be able to afford designer or name brand clothes. Thanks to Amee, I have a whole new wardrobe for less than $50 and most of them are designer and name brand.
Yesterday I had the luxury of a day of shopping to myself. I decided to take advantage and I headed to Plato’s Closet. I first signed up for e-mails for Plato’s Closet. This netted me a $5 off coupon. I also gathered some of my old clothes in good condition to trade in.
While the employees at Plato’s looked over my trade in clothes, I shopped! Now, I have to say this was my first clothes shopping trip without my personal shopper, Amee! I know she would have had my outfits picked out in a couple of minutes but, I think I did fairly well.
I ended up with white knee length shorts, an Ann Taylor Loft top, an H&M top, a pair of flat shoes, and a pink Forever 21 summer dress. Plato’s Closet gave me a credit of $13.50 for two pairs of jeans I brought in. I also had a gift card for $15.oo and the $5.00 off coupon. My total came to $2.50 after all discounts! What a deal!
My point is, there are many ways to save money on clothes. Go through your closet and consign your clothes that you don’t wear (the ones in great condition!). Sign up for e-mails for your favorite store. Most likely you will get a promotional coupon at some point. Look for gently used clothes if you want to buy designer or name brand clothes.
