Woohoo! I am so excited that Harris Teeter has Super Double coupons this week! I was able to score the above for the Penny Experiment for almost free!

A little re-cap. Madame Deals is taking part in the Penny Experiment which we told you about here. Basically, we are seeing how far we can stretch our pennies to buy as much food as possible for local food banks. Jeffrey, the man behind the whole idea, will be selling penny themed artwork to pay coupon bloggers for any out of pocket expenses. The goal is to provide $1 million worth of food to food banks across the country.

What we bought:

(2) Lysol wipes

(3) Jell-O

(3) Yakisob Noodles

(2) Special K Cereal

(2) Special K Bars

(1) Wheatables crackers

(1) Uncle Bens Rice

(1) Heinz Ketchup

(3) Rice-A-Roni

Our totals:

Spent: $2.36

Saved: $36.37 or 94%

We will be making another run to Harris Teeter before the promotion ends. Then next week we will deliver our haul to the food bank!

If you are a coupon blogger and would like to participate in the Penny Experiment, contact Jeffrey.
