Mason & Brennan w/ Frosty

It’s Christmas Eve and I know that many of you (myself included!) are running around trying to get last minute stuff prepared. I hope you all can stop for a moment and create lasting memories with your children and family.

Here are a few last minute meaningful Christmas activities:

  • Allow your children to help you bake! Yes, it will be messy! My Mason has been helping me bake over the last few days. Although the Russian Tea Cakes were not perfectly round, the Sugar Cookie icing covered the counter and the floor was covered in sprinkles; I will always cherish our time together! What JOY he had on his face while helping me.
  • Read Christmas stories. I have already shared that my fondest memory from last year was making salt dough ornaments based on the symbols of Christmas found in “Teach the Children”.
  • When the sun has set this evening, take the kids for a ride. Make a thermos of hot cocoa and take a tour of the neighboring lights and decorations.
  • Have fun, stop stressing, remember the reason for the season and enjoy your children and family!

This post is part of Just for the Joy of it at Good True & Beautiful.

Merry Christmas!

Great ideas! We loved touring the neighborhood to see the lights.
