Well, you may have noticed that I am a bit behind in my weekly spending reports! Yes, I have been terribly busy and I am currently on vacation. The other thing is that I have not really grocery shopped in three weeks! We have been eating from our stockpile. I had stocked up on meat and pantry items at the end of August and beginning of September. We also bought one food share from Angel Food in September. Even after using meat from our stockpile for three weeks, we still have meat left in the freezer! You see, I bought chicken, pork and beef when it was on sale or markdown. I froze the meat in proportions for my family.
The only trips to the grocery store in the last three weeks have been for milk, produce and items for our trip. I don’t have my receipts with me so I can’t give you the exact money spent. However, I do know that I have been way under my $100 weekly budget. Two weeks ago I spent roughly $40 at Walgreens and the farmers market. Last week I spent $22 at Food Lion. I will need to do a large grocery shopping trip next week. So, I am glad to have a little wiggle room in our budget!
