Madame Deals has been reporting all summer long the information for the Womens 4 Milerrace and Training Program. The race takes place this Saturday September 5th at Foxfield. On Saturday morning, 3,300 women race participants will gather for this annual event. It is truly amazing to stand at the starting point with that many women all in support of Breast Cancer. Many of these women have been affected in some way by breast cancer.

The proceeds from the race go towards the UVa Cancer Center Breast Care Program. Right now, we are only half way to our goal of raising $400,000. If you know someone participating in the race and would like to sponsor them, you can make a donation online HERE.

As I posted last week, I will be running in honor of my grandma. She had a partial mastectomy last week and will start radiation soon. She is doing fantastic and has a wonderful attitude. She is truly an inspiration to me!

I also want to thank Kim Crum and her efforts to raise over $11,000! Kim is amazing! Breast Cancer survivors shaved all of Kim’s hair off last Friday since she had met her goal of raising over $10,000. Congratulations Kim and you are beautiful!
